Ten years experience designing dynamic residential and public landscapes that please the eye, create a welcoming atmosphere, and soothe the spirit. Bringing Back The Natives Garden Tour 2006 featured the Meditation Garden I designed for St. John's Episcopal Church in Oakland. A stimulating addition to Aquatic Park is the Children's Ecology Garden I designed and project managed for the City of Berkeley.

I specialize in creating lively, healing gardens that are wildlife friendly; restoring mature landscapes, and using California native plants. Many design styles are available, from the more formal to the casual, including manicured Asian inspired, spare modernist visions, lush English cottage, Italian Mediterranean, Sub-Tropical, California natural, and Sanctuary Retreat.

Each Design begins with the client's garden wishes; I use my expertise to incorporate those into the final design. Every project includes Landscape Assessment, and is geared to creating an easy to maintain design that addresses the particular challenges, hidden opportunities, and specific microclimates of your landscape. Decks, patios, arbors, special paths, water features, threshold gates, and sculptural accents can be included in the design service. Water saving, sustainable gardens a specialty.

I can work together with you to make purchase choices or re-shuffle what you have to enhance your garden experience. Furniture, artwork, accent objects, container plant collections, flower arrangements, and special accent plants all contribute to help create an inviting garden atmosphere.

I can efficiently design focal point plantings to enhance the house and yard appeal for the buyer. Entryways are a specialty, and set the tone.

Landscape Consultation:
Assess plant health and recommend which plants to save, transplant, or remove;
